When you really enjoy burning a candle, it’s only natural that you want to get the most out of it. With some extra love, you can ensure your SCENT candles burn cleanly throughout the entirety of its life.
Before The Light.
It is vital to trim the wick. The ideal height is about 1/8inch above the wax prior to lighting. The longer the wick, the larger the flame, which results in excess soot and an uncontrollable wick.
Wax has a memory, and your candle will never forget its first burn. When lighting a new candle, always allow enough time for the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface; typically, this takes a couple of hours. This will help prevent your candle from tunneling or having memory rings.
The Burn.
To prevent overheating and surface damage, burn the candle for no more than four hours at a time on a heat resistance surface.
The Bittersweet End.
Of course, you might want to burn your SCENT candles to the very end, but to avoid any damage to your surfaces or yourself, it is best to discontinue use when there is about 1/2inch of non-molten wax remaining.
